Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how jieeo (the “Platform”) collects, uses, and shares personal data. We handle personal data in line with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (“PDPA”).

Note on roles: when you place an order, the seller receives your details to fulfil it. For that order data, the seller is an independent controller responsible for its own use of your data; jieeo provides the software that passes it to them.

1. Data we collect

• Buyers: name, phone number, delivery address and postal code, the items ordered, and the PayNow payment reference you submit.
• Sellers: name, email address, store details, contact number, and PayNow payee information used to generate your QR codes.
• Automatically: basic technical data such as device and browser information and limited logs needed to run and secure the Platform.

2. How we use data

• To create and display storefronts, products, and group-buys.
• To process orders, generate PayNow QR codes, and send order-related notifications and emails.
• To operate, secure, support, and improve the Platform.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to provide the service:

• With the seller you order from, so they can verify payment and fulfil and deliver your order.
• With service providers that host our infrastructure and send transactional email on our behalf, under appropriate safeguards.
• Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the Platform.

4. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, records sellers must keep for tax). We remove or anonymise data when it is no longer needed.

5. Your rights under the PDPA

Subject to the PDPA, you may request access to, or correction of, the personal data we hold about you, and you may withdraw consent for certain uses. For data a seller holds about your order, please contact that seller directly.

6. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
